Education

The Eastern Region Textile Forum is committed to creating links with education, industry, heritage sites and all institutions interested in incorporating textile art into their strategies for learning and leisure. The art and craft of textiles can be found in science & technology, art, fashion, geography, and literature just to name a few. Textile artists and practioners are able to contribute in some way to all subjects, since it requires a portion of every discipline to create a work of art or useful object.

Our goal is to enthuse, inspire and support those wishing to engage with textile art in any way that would enhance their activities with students or the public.

Many of our members are able support the various sectors by offering to demonstrate, teach, mentor or generally share their skills. Members who are willing to assist you with your particular requirements may be accessed by contacting

Kindly note that parties enter into any correspondence or arrangements on their own responsibility. The ERTF cannot accept liability for insuring member suitability, CRB checks on any party, employment representations or descriptions and all other related aspects of such arrangements of either our members or outside parties.

It is intended that this Education Section will be expanded in the future to allow service users and service providers to post direct to the web site.
